Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate Radiothon in partnership with Audacy
April 22-23, 2021
6 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Broadcast live from the Audacy Greenville, SC studios
The Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate Radiothon, in partnership with Audacy, is an easy and rewarding way for our community to support our young patients and their families we have the privilege to serve each day.
This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the two-day event will broadcast live each day from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. from the seven Audacy stations studio located in Greenville, SC.
Funds raised from our sponsors and individuals help purchase specialized children’s medical equipment, distraction toys such as games, DVDs, books, art supplies, and other items that provide the “extras” that make a hospital stay a little brighter. These extras mean the world to a child and family during this time. Please help make a child’s stay in the hospital brighter and lift their spirits by donating. The seven Audacy stations you can tune into to hear more are 106.3 WORD, ESPN UPSTATE, Classic Rock 101.1, 93.3 The Planet, Magic 98.9, B93.7, and 96.3 The Block.
Throughout the two days of Radiothon, on-air personalities share stories and interviews from patients and families who have been served by Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Upstate departments, programs, and services. Over the past 13 years, over $3 million has been raised for Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate through our Radiothon.

Funds raised through Radiothon support special items for our youngest patients, and although patients at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate are treated by some of the best pediatricians in the country, their needs go beyond what most people consider traditional “medical care.” Children’s Hospital patients have psychosocial needs, which can be met through specific items such as toys, games, watching a movie with a family member, care packages, “special day” parties, attending medical-based specialty camps, even getting a visit from one of our facility dogs lifts the spirit of a child in the hospital.
For example, a child receiving a painful treatment might benefit from the distraction of playing with a toy. A child’s spirits are lifted by having a birthday party in the hospital on that special day. Funds are limited for these kinds of needs, which presents a unique opportunity for community involvement to support.
Your generosity makes a lasting impact by funding the extras that are key to the healing spirit of a child. Donate today.
