For those, this event is an annual way to celebrate and honor the life of a respected business leader, a colleague, and most of all, a friend. Many runners and walkers join us every year, and while they may not have known Caine personally, with the fall sun shining brightly every year – it’s impossible to miss his influence and legacy, which now fights for ALL cancer patients. A remarkable team stood by as Caine’s battle for life unfolded. We pay tribute to Caine Halter each year and celebrate years of family and friends gathering to fight cancer for patients and their loved ones.

Funds raised through Run4Life benefit organizations like the Neighborhood Cancer Connection. Since 1964, the organization has offered hope and emotional support, as well as practical assistance to ease the financial burden of major illness.

In 2023, funds raised through Run4Life helped the Caine Halter YMCA of Greenville start a partnership with the LIVESTRONG Foundation, to develop a small-group cancer survivorship program for those living with, through, or beyond cancer. Studies have shown that participants in the program experience improved fitness and quality of life and significant decreases in cancer-related fatigue. Funds raised from Run4Life will continue to support this program.
