Under the Carolina Moon Donates $10,000 to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital Camp Courage
GREENVILLE, S.C., Nov 4, 2021 – Under the Carolina Moon, donated $10,000 to the Prisma Health Children’s Hospital BI-LO® Charities Children’s Cancer Center Camp Courage.
The donated funds came from customers from across the country who purchased the custom t-shirt during October to bring attention to Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
The $10,000 raised through the sales of the t-shirt will send twenty young cancer patients to Camp Courage next summer. Camp Courage creates an unforgettable recreational experience for children and teens with cancer or blood disorders from the Upstate of South Carolina, western North Carolina, and Northeast Georgia. Campers are free to play, laugh, explore, and grow. The staff of the BI-LO Charities Children’s Cancer Center provides 24-hour medical supervision while children are at camp.
“Under the Carolina Moon has been a tremendous supporter of Camp Courage over the past couple of years through their sell of t-shirts,” said Ericka Turner, MS, CCLS, Camp Courage Director, “We are very thankful to their generosity and partnership”.
