How your gift makes a difference
Funds raised from our generous donors across the Upstate community help purchase distraction toys, books and educational resources, activities and other items that provide the “extras” that make a hospital stay and lifestyles of chronic illnesses a little brighter. These extras mean the world to a child and family during this time.
Patients at Prisma Health Children’s Hospital–Upstate receive exceptional care from our clinical care teams, yet their needs extend far beyond traditional medical treatment. Many of our patients rely on psychosocial support to ease fear, reduce stress, and promote healing. These needs are met through meaningful experiences—playing with toys or games, watching a movie with a family member, receiving a care package, celebrating special occasions, attending medical‑based specialty camps, or even enjoying a visit from one of our facility dogs. Each of these moments helps lift a child’s spirits and supports their overall well‑being during hospitalization.
