- Bookbags for the foster care community: Inspiring health goes beyond the four walls of Children’s Hospital. Team member donations to the #WeCare campaign purchased bookbags to support children in foster care by providing them with essential personal hygiene and school supplies.
- Healthy distractions: Research and first-hand experience indicate that positive distractions in the pediatric healthcare environment provide a series of health benefits for patients, including improved behavioral and emotional well-being, reduced stress and anxiety, enhanced healthcare experience and satisfaction, and eased medical procedures and recovery. Donations purchase along list of wish list items such as sensory toys, video game systems, interactive wall murals, and more.
- Pediatric summer camps: Children love summer camp and being outside. Children with complex and ongoing medical conditions are no exception. The Prisma Health Children’s Hospital-Upstate offers several medical specialty camps where kids are surrounded by peers and dedicated professionals in a medically safe atmosphere of excitement and adventure. Gifts to the Miracle Team and #WeCare campaign makes camp completely free for our families, covering the cost of facility operations/rental fees, meals, activities, crafts, t-shirts, and scholarships.
