This new giving society will recognize donors who make unrestricted gifts of $1,000 or more to the Prisma Health-Upstate Foundation each year.
As a Compassion Circle Member, your gifts will help support a variety of needs to enhance patient care and to support team member wellbeing, as identified by our clinical partners.
Gifts to the Compassion Circle can help provide:
- Baby formula for patients/ infant’s families who take part in Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), to ensure babies receive enough nourishment.
- Shower chairs for patients who face mobility challenges.
- Scales for patients with chronic heart failure.
- Blanket or safe heating for patients lacking adequate home heating sources.
- Pillboxes for patients’ home-use to manage medication compliance.
- Safe Sleep Sacks for new parents to take home with them for newborn safe sleeping care.
- ImPACT Tests for Kidnetics to assess and evaluate patients after suspected concussion to track progress.
- Transportation assistance for participants of the Spanish OB Tours, a collaborate initiative that provides Spanish-speaking families with essential education on preparing for delivery, navigating hospital procedures, and promoting safe newborn care.
- Blood pressure cuffs, which are no longer included for home care patients.
- Adaptive gaming equipment to enhance the rehabilitation experience and psychosocial wellbeing of individuals with spinal cord injuries at Roger C. Peace Rehabilitation Hospital.
- Implementation and support for a quarterly New to Parkinson’s class for patients and caregivers, which includes educational materials.
- Updates to the Counseling Room in the Advanced Fetal Care Center, where families receive difficult news regarding lethal or severe fetal anomalies. Plans for a more welcoming environment include inclusive seating, new furniture, and artwork to brighten the space.
